October 29 – Elena performed with Edgar Ibarra at Plaza Carso at 2.30pm.


October 15 – Elena and Edgar Ibarra performed at Festival Internacional de la Cultura Maya (FICMaya) in Merida.


October 8 – Elena performed at the Foro Jose Sole at 1pm in Tlalpan, Mexico City.


October 2 – Elena performed at the Museo de Mexico Contemporaneo in Centro Historico, Mexico City.


July 19 – Elena performed at The Mexican Museum in San Francisco, who held a family-friendly Dedication Ceremony & Cornerstone Presentation to reflect the museum’s unique artistry and cultural richness and the opening of its new site in 2019. Elena was honoured to play at the ceremony and partake in this special day celebrating Mexican culture.

The program also included appearances by Boxing World Champions, including Julio César Chávez, considered the greatest Mexican fighter of all time, and Veronica Monterrubio, signed copies of her latest children’s book, El Árbol o Recuento de una Vida Inanimada.


July 9 – Elena Durán was joined by Carlos Salmerón (piano) and Adolfo Ramos (cello) in this final performance of the Elena Durán and Friends series at the Palacio de Bellas Artes at 17:00.

May 21 – As part of the Elena Durán and Friends series, the Trio Luminaria (Megan Majorana (Principal Flautist of the Symphony Orchestra of Aguascalientes), Katy Ruelas Valdivia (violin) and Yuko Groves (harp)) performed at 17:00 at the Palacio de Bellas Artes.

April 30 – Elena was thrilled to perform at the Alas y Raices Weekend Festival ¡Todos a jugar con música de jazz y más! at the Centro Nacional de las Artes.  Elena was joined by the Amistad Trio, with Carlos Salmerón (piano), David Rosas (bass) and Salvador Merchand (drums), at 17:00 in the Auditorio Blas Galindo del Cenart.  Read about the performance in Elena´s blog.

April 12, 19:00 – Elena Durán performed her “Pedro Mí Amor” program in Tijuana, Mexico in support of Proyecto Fronterizo de Educación (read more about the Proyecto here and here).

Tickets were by donation of $200 or $300; donations at the VIP level ($500) included the opportunity to meet Elena.
